At American Fighter MMA Training Center we value neither brute
strength nor aggression. We value the "Art" in Mixed Martial Arts. We
see the evolution of becoming a martial artist as a life-changing process which
forces the student to focus the mind and train the body. It is as much a mental
journey as a physical one.
American Fighter covers everything. Our programs provide detailed training in each specific art or offer the fusion that is Mixed Martial Arts. You can develop your stand-up skills in our extensive Muay Thai program or work your ground game with Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu. These programs are battle proven and tested by our UFC fighters such as Rich Franklin, Matt Hammil, Waylon Lowe, and Dustin Hazelette.
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)

Mixed Martial
Arts (MMA) is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. MMA is a full
contact combat sport in which a variety of fighting techniques are used
including striking and grappling. American Fighter MMA program focuses on
learning the fundamental and advanced techniques of MMA including grappling,
submission wrestling and striking for a mixed martial arts environment. This
complete MMA program emphasizes clinching, pummeling and takedowns as well as
submissions, positions and escapes on the ground. It also includes striking
from the clinch and on the ground which are both integral parts of your MMA
game. This "no-gi" MMA grappling class is a great compliment to our
Muay Thai Program (the best striking program around) and our Brazilian Jiu
Jitsu classes are well rounded and geared towards beginners as well as advanced
members.
Muay Thai

Known as the king of the ring, Muay Thai
is the national sport of Thailand. Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) includes kicking and
punching as well as devastating elbow and knee strikes. For this reason, Muay
Thai is sometimes called the science of the eight limbs.
Muay Thai is one of the best sports for
physical conditioning. It is also known for having the strongest kick in the
martial arts. Thai boxing students learn to move fluently between kicking,
punching, knee, elbow and clinching ranges.
Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position and using joint-locks and chokeholds to force an opponent to submit. Almost every successful MMA fighter now cross trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under one of the infamous Gracie family members or one of their Jiu-Jitsu followers.
American Fighter
offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu both with and without the gi. Whether you're a
beginner or an expert in Jiu-Jitsu we're here to help you be the best you
can be! Come see why Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is becoming one of the most popular
martial arts in the world.
Kickboxing

America Fighter Kickboxing offers fitness kickboxing classes which focus on bag work, conditioning and getting a great workout. We also teach technical kickboxing instructions which focus on learning technique, developing skills and progressing into a proficient kickboxer. Both programs are a great workout and both teach technique.
The Kickboxing
class improves endurance, strength, muscle tone, coordination and flexibility.
It also builds lean muscle and burns fat. Kickboxing is one of the best
cardiovascular workouts. You can burn up to 800 calories in a one hour class!!
In addition to burning calories and fat, because you'll be working on a bag,
you also get resistance training in every class which will help you to tone up
and have that chiseled physique. The explosive, upbeat cardiovascular workout
emphasizes footwork, body mechanics, punching and kicking combinations and
basic offensive and defensive techniques. It's fun, challenging, and a great
way to stay in shape and improve overall physical fitness. You'll also learn
self-defense skills that will increase your confidence.
